How long should someone stay home if they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19?

Anyone experiencing COVID-related symptoms, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, should get tested for COVID-19 and isolate immediately.

If your test result is negative, you should consult a health care provider before returning to work or class.

Following a positive test, most people will need to isolate for 10 days since first testing positive. Learn more about quarantine and isolation from UHS.
